Status of Legislation:
• SB10-116 Public Contracting Jobs Protection Act introduced by Senator Kopp and Representatives Rice and Priola. 
• SB10-116 assigned to the Senate Business, Labor & Technology Committee. Awaiting hearing to be scheduled. 
• SB10-116 passed 1st reading.
• SB10-116 passed 2nd reading in the Senate on 2/24/2010. The bill will be heard on 3rd reading on the morning of 2/25/2010. Once the bill passes 3rd reading the bill will be scheduled in the House.
• SB10-116 passed the Senate on 3rd and final reading on 2/25/2010. Co-sponsors added to the bill are: Boyd, Newell, Heath, Kester, Cadman and Gibbs. SB116 will proceed to the House of Representatives and be assigned to committee for hearing.
• SB116 Public Contracting Jobs Protection Act passed unanimously out of the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee today. Thank you to Bud Starker and Craig Clark for testifying in support of the bill. SB116 now proceeds to the full House for debate on second reading and third reading. After the bill passes on third reading, if the bill is un-amended, the bill will head to the Governor’s desk for signature. SB116 has already passed the Senate.
